Monthy Meetings: We meet on the third Tuesday night of the month from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at 300 Montgomery, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA.
In the 2007-2008 Rotary Year, our Club made some significant improvements to Rotary Means Business. We rewrote the mission statement to reflect a purpose that is more integral to Rotary and encourages participation by all members, including retired members who can offer a wealth of experience and knowledge.
Mission Statement:
♦ Rotary Means Business encourages Rotarians to leverage the wealth of knowledge and expertise in Rotary and the broader business community for the mutual benefit of Rotary and its members.
♦ Rotary Means Business is the place where Rotarians focus on the business-related facets of their relationships with each other by providing a discussion forum where Rotarians can learn more about the products and services offered by fellow club members. This increases the value of Rotary membership by enabling Rotarians to provide their friends and colleagues with well-informed introductions to fellow Rotarians who can help meet their needs, assuring that those needs will be met in compliance with the 4-Way Test and helping fellow Rotarians prosper so they can help the entire Rotary community prosper.
♦ Seek, receive, and offer assistance with questions about the management of businesses and careers. This increases the value of Rotary membership by enabling senior members to offer guidance and mentoring, and providing junior members with the benefit of the wisdom and experience within the club.
Our goals are:
♦ To strengthen the business-related facets of the rich and complex relationships we have with each other as Rotarians.
♦ To foster high standards and ideals in our professions.
Our Agenda: In order to achieve both of these goals, we have adopted this agenda for our monthly meetings.
♦ Focus on educating one another about the products and services we each offer in our professional lives.
♦ In these meetings, two to three members of our Club have an opportunity to present a ten-minute overview of their business or profession so that we can begin to appreciate the breadth and depth of the talents in our Club and become better able to refer leads for potential business opportunities to fellow Rotarians.
♦ We also discuss the Four Way Test. In these meetings, we invite senior members of our club to speak about the Four-Way Test and then lead a discussion on the issues raised.
We charge $10 to attend our Rotary Means Business meetings. We will turn over our surplus to the Rotary Club of San Francisco at the end of the year. Members are also asked to make a donation to Rotary if they increase their business as a result of their RMB contacts.
