Congratulations to Betsy Koefoed of the Rotary Club of San Carlos for being selected as Rotary District 5150's Rotarian of the Month for March 2024! Betsy is as dedicated a Rotarian as one can ever find.
Following her retirement in 2009, she joined her Club in the community where she lives. Betsy was the 2013-2014 President of the Rotary Club of San Carlos and has remained very involved in various leadership positions throughout the years, serving as Club Secretary, Chair of the Endowment Committee, Youth Leadership Chair, and Club Treasurer, just to name a few.
Betsy along with her husband, PDG Bill Koefoed, were instrumental in bringing the Potential Rotary Leaders Seminars (PRLS) series to our District. Many Rotarians have benefitted greatly from the PRLS leadership training not only in Rotary but also in their professional and personal lives. In addition to their work on behalf of Rotary causes, Betsy and Bill are very generous benefactors, having earned second level Major Donor status with The Rotary Foundation.
In the community, Betsy has been active in a number of nonprofit and charitable organizations including The Caring Cupboard and the Adult Community Center. Internationally, she has traveled to Mexico to deliver wheelchairs.
Betsy is a walking and talking encyclopedia of everything related to Rotary. Her knowledge has been invaluable to her Club and to Rotarians throughout the District.
It is hard to imagine a more deserving member to be recognized as Rotarian of the Month. The Rotary Club of San Carlos and Rotary District 5150 are honored to have Betsy Koefoed as a valued member and grateful for her many contributions over the years. Betsy is most deserving to be recognized as District 5150’s Rotarian of the Month for March 2024!
