Happy September, everyone!
I hope you are all safe and healthy as we move into the fall.
Since the end of June, I have had the pleasure and honor to visit with a number of our Rotary clubs, and I am inspired with every single visit. It gives me such pride and happiness to learn of the many projects and support that our clubs are providing to our communities.
With the many natural disasters that have occurred recently, the efforts and dedication that our Rotarians provide in our communities is truly amazing. Not only have our clubs helped in their local community, but many have collaborated with other clubs to provide support on a larger scale to communities worldwide.
Over the last several weeks, we have received many requests and questions surrounding these disasters and events in our world. We have now included an area in our newsletter with links and resources of the various relief efforts. We will update these links as we gather more information.
In addition, for those of you who have wondered how Rotary International is helping in the COVID-19 pandemic, listen to this month's video message. We have a special message from our Past Rotary International President, Ravi Ravindran, who is also leading the COVID-19 Task Force for Rotary International.
I look forward to seeing you soon at an upcoming event or club meeting! We also hope you will join us for our first District wide dinner and fundraiser on October 3rd at 5pm - 7pm via zoom. Our Truffle Shuffle to End Polio is our first interactive cooking experience and proceeds from the dinner help in our effort to eradicate Polio. Visit the Truffle Shuffle to End Polio webpage to register (and hurry, ticket sales end September 20). I'll see you there!
Yours in Rotary,
Danielle Lallement
