Dear Fellow Rotarians:
Welcome to a new Rotary year filled with opportunity, purpose, and the power to change lives. As we begin this journey together, I invite you to embrace our theme: The Season of Love.
Love is at the heart of Rotary. It is reflected in every act of service, every hand extended in friendship, and every effort to bring hope and dignity to those who need it most. Rotary is more than an organization—it is a community of people united by a shared commitment to making the world a better place.
This year, I envision every club in our district becoming stronger, more vibrant, more welcoming, and more impactful than ever before. I see clubs where members are deeply engaged, new voices are inspired to join, and local communities are completely transformed through meaningful service. Together, we can turn this vision into reality.
As your District Governor, I am committed to listening, learning, supporting, and celebrating your successes. Every club has unique strengths, and every Rotarian has something valuable to contribute. I also believe our approach must continue to evolve to meet the needs of today's world. While our values remain timeless, we should stay open to new ideas and flexible meeting formats that create greater opportunities for service.
There is no single model for a successful Rotary club. Some clubs thrive through longstanding traditions and fellowship, while others discover innovative ways to connect, serve, and grow. I encourage every club to have thoughtful conversations about how it can best serve its members and attract the next generation of leaders. Innovation is not a departure from our traditions—it is the pathway to Rotary's future.
To help us channel this energy into real results, I ask every club to embrace two important goals: achieving 100% Every Rotarian, Every Year (EREY) participation and achieving net membership growth that surpasses your club's highest membership peak over the last 7 years by at least 1 member. These targets are more than just numbers; every contribution expands our ability to change lives, and every new member brings fresh energy and capacity to serve.
As we move forward through the seasons ahead—focusing our collective hearts on global health, youth literacy, uplifting vulnerable neighbors, and protecting our environment—let us begin with our first self-care fitness initiative launching in late July. Taking care of our communities starts with taking care of ourselves. After all, you are the most important asset in Rotary.
With strong hearts and renewed energy, I encourage you to dream boldly, explore new possibilities, and lead with absolute love. Every project, every new member, and every act of kindness creates a ripple effect that reaches farther than we can imagine. Let us make this a year defined by compassion, fellowship, and action as we build a brighter future together.
