Congratulations to Rotary District 5150 Rotarian of the Month for April 2022, Bill Gilmore, from the Rotary Club of San Francisco West!
Bill has been a proud member of SF west for 19 years.  He stepped up in leadership right away and hasn’t stopped since, serving in every capacity possible.  Bill faithfully attends club meetings and major events, and is often supportive of district events, too.

An architect by profession, Bill brings to his Rotary club strategic thinking, creativity, problem solving and perseverance to whatever challenge the club is facing.

A highlight of Bill’s Rotary career (thus far) includes serving as project lead of SF West’s Bangladesh Global Grant WASH project, meeting almost EVERY Saturday morning with our project counterparts. His expertise was critical in reviewing drawings for a two-story high school addition housing 36 toilets and other WASH requirements, all during the pandemic.

In addition, Bill has created two treasure hunts in Golden Gate Park as a club fundraiser, revamped committees to eliminate “one person” committees, and has guided the club in updating its bylaws.  And, in 2022-23 Rotary year, Bill will serve as Club President for the fourth time. In addition to his great commitment to his club, Bill is also involved at the District level, serving as Stewardship Chair and Global Grant Chair over the years.

Club President, Anna Yang, describes Bill as a “prince of a man” who is dedicated, kind, and thoughtful with a quiet sense of humor and a commitment to Rotary that is unwavering.

Once again, congratulations to Bill Gilmore from the Rotary Club of San Francisco West as our Rotary District 5150 Rotarian of the Month for April 2022!
